Summary: | Dentist Dr. Carol S. Morales was born on December 11, 1945 in Harlem, New York. Morales earned her degree in biological sciences from the City College of New York before attending the College of Dentistry at Howard University. She earned the American Academy of Oral Medicine Award upon graduation and went on to complete her residency in the Bronx. She entered into private practice in Harlem in 1980. Morales was selected to work on a pilot project of the William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation aimed at providing technical and business consulting to small businesses in Harlem. She was also active in a number of community-based service groups, and remained a member of several professional dental associations, including the National Dental Association. She mentored African American girls aspiring to dental careers, and worked with The Links Reading project and their "Day of the African Child" project, part of the International Trends Committee.
