Summary: | Cardiologist and healthcare executive Dr. Christopher J.W.B. Leggett was born on November 8, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, Leggett received a four-year scholarship to attend Princeton University. While attending Princeton, Leggett was a campus leader and member of the basketball team. In 1982, Leggett graduated with his B.A. degree in sociology. After attending the University of Cincinnati's School of Medicine, Leggett attended Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio where he received his M.D. degree. In 1986, Leggett completed an internship in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 1992, he became a physician at Emory University School of Medicine in Decatur, Georgia. The following year, Leggett became an interventional cardiology fellow at the Department of Cardiology at Birmingham School of Medicine. Leggett was the Director of Cardiology at Medical Associates of North Georgia and practiced at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
