Summary:Theatrical manager Veronica Claypool was born July 17, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She enrolled in Hunter College in 1970. In 1973, she worked on the production team for the Jackson 5's broadcast from Senegal in West Africa. Claypool became an associate producer for Metromedia Television in New York City in 1974. In 1977, she joined McCann and Nugent Productions, working as a management associates for twelve Broadway productions. Claypool was company manager for tours of Sophisticated Ladies; and the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson and Doolittle Theatres in the 1980s. In 1991, she joined Blanki & Bodi Productions, where she participated in a variety of commercial campaigns. In 1994, Claypool became general manager for the Houston Grand Opera. She then worked as company manager for a national tour of Porgy and Bess. She was general manager of the Jackie Mason Show in 1996, and later, managing director of the Theatre Development Fund.
