Summary: | Military officer Michele S. Jones was born on November 24, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduating from Milford Mill High School, she enrolled at Howard University, but transferred to Fayetteville State University where she served in the U.S. Army and received her B.S. degree in business administration in 1994. Jones enlisted in the army in September 1982. She became the first female selected class president of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. Throughout her military career, Jones served in many leadership positions. She served during every major contingency operation. In 2002, Jones was appointed the 9th Command Sergeant Major of the Army Reserve. After retiring in 2007, Jones served as special assistant to the Secretary Of Defense White House Liaison from 2009 to 2012. Jones is the vice president of training with Civility Management Solutions, LLC. where she provided leadership and diversity training and professional and personal development.
