Summary: | Corporate executive Monte Ford was born on October 3, 1959, in Washington, D.C. He attended Augustus Paul Junior High School and graduated from Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania in 1977. He earned his B.S. degree in business administration from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1982. A part time disc jockey in college, Ford worked for Digital Equipment Corporation as a marketing representative from 1982 to 1990. From 1990 to 1994, he worked for the Bank of Boston becoming senior vice president for technology. At the Associates First Capital Corporation, Ford was executive vice president and CIO from 1997 to 2000. He was senior vice president and CIO of American Airlines from 2000 to 2011. He then served as executive chairman and chief executive of Aptean Software and CIO of AMR Corporation and Associates First Capital. In 2013, Ford joined the technology company Akamai, as a director.
