Summary: | Broadcast executive and lawyer Lois E. Wright was born on June 25, 1949 in Newark, New Jersey. Wright earned her B.A. degree in American Studies from Douglas College at Rutgers University in 1970, and her J.D. degree from Rutgers School of Law in 1973. In 1980, Wright became the general counsel for Inner City Broadcasting (ICBC), one of the first African American-owned broadcasting companies. She was later appointed as the executive vice president and corporate counsel for ICBC. Wright also served as the counsel to the board of directors for the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters (NABOB), and as a member of the board of directors for the National Conference of Black Lawyers (NCBL). She became a member of the National Bar Association (NBA). In 2010, Wright was named as one of "The 50 Most Influential Women in Radio" by Radio Ink magazine.
