Summary:Lawyer and dentist Ada Cooper was born on October 19, 1960, in New York City. She earned her B.A. degree in political science from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1982; and her J.D. degree from Harvard Law School in 1985. Cooper began her career as a litigator with the firm of Chicago at Jenner & Block in Chicago. She also worked in the litigation section of the Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue firm in New York City. She returned to Jenner and Block in Chicago in 1989, making partner at in 1992. While building her legal career, she began taking dentistry classes at Loyola University in Chicago. She returned to New York City and continued night classes at New York University and Hunter College, while working for her father's practice. Cooper completed her D.D.S. degree at New York University College of Dentistry, and took over her father's practice when he died.
