Summary:Corporate executive Albert Smith, Jr. was born on January 18, 1961 in San Bernardino, California. He earned his B.S. degree in management information systems from California State University in Long Beach in 1984. Smith began working for Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. in 1990, eventually succeeding Nancy Fein as corporate manager of the fleet division, Toyota Rent a Car and the Toyota Certified Used Vehicles program. In 2008, Toyota Motor Sales promoted Smith to vice president of customer service for the Lexus division. Three years later, Smith began working for Toyota Financial Services, and the following year, he became group vice president of service operations and corporate planning for both Toyota and Lexus Financial Services. In 2017, Smith became group vice president of social innovation, assuming responsibility for corporate philanthropy as well as Toyota Motor North America's corporate diversity and environmental sustainability strategies.
