Summary:Automobile dealer Sanford Woods was born on February 11, 1949. He received his B.S. degree in mathematics in 1971 from Western New Mexico University in Silver City, New Mexico. Woods worked with two insurance companies in New Mexico and Colorado, prior to his hire by Chrysler Corporation in Denver, as an administrative trainee in 1973. Woods was promoted to four different sales districts, to the Denver Zone Office, and held three mid-management positions. He was promoted to regionalmManager of the Detroit Import Operations Group in 1982, and was elevated to home office in Highland Park, Michigan, where he was responsible for dealer placement activities for the US Western region. Woods served as assistant zone manager in 1984, and in 1986, he was promoted to Chrysler's largest sales zone, Washington D.C. Woods returned to Detroit headquarters to run the Minority Retail Dealer Development Program in 1987, before leaving Chrysler to form his own dealership in Tampa Bay, Florida.
