Summary: | Entrepreneur Gregory Jackson was born in Detroit, Michigan. He received his B.S. degree in accounting from Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia, and his M.S. degree in finance and marketing from Atlanta University Graduate School of Business in 1981. He served as accountant for Arthur Andersen & Company from 1981 to 1984 before joining Stroh's Transportation, a division of Stroh's Brewery Company, as a controller. During his Stroh's tenure, Jackson launched and worked on his own gourmet cookies venture, The Kastleton Company. He graduated from the General Motors (GM) Minority Dealer Training program in 1989, and launched Prestige Automotive. Jackson purchased his first dealership, Prestige Pontiac-Oldsmobile in Mt. Morris, Michigan in 1993. Under Jackson's leadership, Prestige Automotive Group grossed $1.67 billion in sales in 2005. Jackson has owned a total of 18 dealerships, selling all but four: Mercedes-Benz of St. Clair Shores, Toyota of Warren, Courtesy Ford of Okemos and Prestige Cadillac in Warren.
