Summary: | Lawyer Matrice Ellis-Kirk was born on March 9, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio, and earned her B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. Ellis-Kirk began her career as an officer in commercial banking at Dallas-based MBank. She became a director of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit's Office of Management and Budget in 1987. In 1993, Ellis-Kirk joined Apex Securities as a vice president and office manager, before working as a consultant with global executive search firm Spencer Stuart in 1995. Ellis-Kirk transitioned to Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc. in 1999, eventually serving as managing partner in the search firm's Dallas office, and in 2014, joined RSR Partners as managing director. She served on numerous boards, including the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts Foundation, the Dallas Museum of Art, the North Texas Tollway Authority, and the Dallas Symphony Association, and was named to the President's Commission on White House Fellowships by President Barack Obama in 2013.
