Summary: | Elías del Águila Pérez (b. Tarapoto, Peru 1875 - 1953), was a disciple, collaborator and close friend of photographer Manuel Moral. The photographic studio "Elías del Águila y Cía." opened in 1903 and worked until the mid-20th century. This is the first exhibition of his archive, consisting of over 23,000 glass plate negatives from the holdings of the Centro de la Imagen. The catalog collects period photographs, reviews the relationship between the studio photographers Del Aguila and Manuel Moral, and presents a selection of portraits which seeks to characterize the clientele of the photographer as well as highlight the main features of his work.
