Summary:The English and French Caribbean literature is characterized today by a real questioning or even a deconstruction of the imposed Western norms. Born in a context of violence and denigration of the black being, this literature is marked by a form of resistance that is rooted in historical marbling. The objective of this study is to show that contemporary creativity processes make use of the past, especially marronnage, as an emancipatory approach to Caribbean art and literature.--Translation of part of page 4 of cover.
