Summary: | Dominique Zincoli lives in a village not far from Bastia, in 1913, with his wife Teresa and his son Petru. He never recovered from the early death of his mother, Francoise, who had been rejected from the family by her father, Patriarch Jean Bonifazzi, for falling in love with a poor peasant.
