Summary:Democracy has been what has allowed us to live together being different - wrote the philosopher Daniel Innerarity -, but nothing guarantees that it can continue to develop this crucial function in the future. We must prepare for turbulent times and we must work so that these turbulent times do not destroy the principles of equality and freedom that characterize the democratic ideal. We have to win the future and, for this, this text aims to help from the knowledge of the present, providing a slow and hopeful reflection. From the Introduction by Joaquín Brugué, Simone Martins and Carmen Pineda Nebot.
