Notes:Full text of the Leavenworth Constitution and a schedule of when the people would vote on it. If approved, this would be transmitted to the President and the Congress of the United States as soon as practicable to admit Kansas as a state. There is an editorial "The Convention". Also included is an "Address of the Kansas Constitutional Convention to the American Public." This was signed by M.F. Conway, President of the Convention; and Sam F. Tappan, Secretary.
