Summary: | The book is a document armed by the vestiges and memoirs of a collective project that was carried out in the municipality of Magüi Payán, located in the department of Nariño, of which the author is originally a native. All the research was built on the interaction with artisans experts in the elaboration and creation of artifacts native to the area, to generate a process of articulation with students of the Elisha Payán Educational Institution. This interaction sought to create didactic strategies from graphic design to activate community memories and resistance to the disappearance of production and artisanal practice in this town. In his work as a designer, the author was found with people from his homeland and with the knowledge acquired in the academy, an encounter that sought to energize and potentialize the cultural recognition of the know-how typical of that rural community and in this way transmit their knowledge in a manner consistent with the eyes and languages that new generations have to perceive their environment.
