Never here before : wonderful phenomena of nature!! : patronised by Her present Majesty, Queen Victoria, at Hyde Park Fair, 1838 : The ladies and gentlemen of this place and its vicinity, are most respectfully invited to behold a most pleasing colletion of natural products, in a large and comfortable caravan : the first curiosity is Master Randel, the gigantic Devonshire youth, ... accompanied by Mr. Jones, the celebrated Welsh dwarf, ... accompanied by the Hottentot Venus!!, engaged by the proprietor for a limtied period, alive, just arrived from Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope, in the ship Vulture and engaged by the proprietor at a great expense, ... accompanied by the white Negro from Barbadoes, in the West Indies : the six banded armadillo, or hog in armour, similar to the rhinoceros ... also, an immense boa constrictor serpent!! from Ceylon ... also a beautiful anaconda, or the sea serpent of America ... likewise an enormous crocodile, and an alligator ... .
