"Finally, I would like to mention the authors included herein -- Sagrario Berti, Horacio Fernández, Antonio Muñoz Molina and Juan Villoro -- for contributing their enriching views on Gasparini" -- page [5].
Summary:"Paolo Gasparini was born in Gorizia, Italy in 1934 and nationalised as Venezuelan in 1954. As a photographer, his work portraying the cultural tensions and contradictions of the American continent is one of the most compelling. The exhibition and catalogue that is presented by MAPFRE Foundation propose a journey of six decades of his photographic career where an itinerary through the landscape of the ever-changing and diverse cities like Caracas, La Habana, Sao Paulo or Mexico echo Munich, Paris, Madrid or London. The catalogue comprises essays by María Wills, curator of the exhibition, Horacio Fernández, Antonio Muñoz Molina and Juan Villoro as well as a biography of Gasparini by Sagrario Berti."--
