Notes:Kit Matthew believes that museums, public libraries and other cultural organizations make essential contributions to resilient and inclusive communities. Throughout her career ⁰́₃ including as Executive Director at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History, as a team leader for three museum expansion projects, and as an arts and cultural product manager at Blackbaud ⁰́₃ she has lived this belief. Appointed by President Obama, Dr. Matthew headed the Institute of Museum and Library Services, an agency that provides nationwide grant funding, conducts research, and supports policy development. She draws upon her corporate and R&D experiences in product development, innovation management, and operational improvements in her work. Currently, she is the Doctor of Design Distinguished Fellow at Louisiana State University, College of Art + Design, with a focus on cultural stewardship and community engagement. She also coaches and guides foundations and individual donors to craft investment strategies in collaboration with their grantees and to focus on meaningful outcomes that help improve community wellbeing.
