Summary:The fifth juried, international program for contemporary art in Bolivia. A selection of works from the fifth version of the International Art Biennial SIART Bolivia 2007 moves to the city of Cochabamba. The selection of works to be exhibited includes the works of the winners of the SIART International Competition, the National Young Art Competition and a complete sample of the Mexican artist Boris Viskin, that participated in the International Exhibition of Honor. La exhibition is possible thanks to the support of the Centro Pedagógico y Cultural Simón I. Patiño, that graciously opens its spaces for the occasion. Elizabeth Torrez, Director of the Center, in this regard she has expressed her complacency pointing out that "with the planned selection it will be possible to show in the city of Valluna the new languages of contemporary art". Norma Campos, Representative of Unión Latina en Bolivia and organizer of the International Art Biennial SIART Bolivia 2007, for her part said that with this exhibition "the objective is to disseminate through a small selection an important event that has been consolidated internationally. Where in each version Bolivia attracts the attention of, not only contestants, but prominent national and international artists who come to the country to share with the public the latest trends in contemporary art. Proof of this is the selection of works from this version of the SIART that can now be enjoyed by the Cochabamba public in the coming days." The International Art Biennial SIART was created in 1999 initially as an International Art Salon, and it is from 2005 that it takes the new direction to International Art Biennial.
