Summary:	An innovative and surprising analysis of the clothing of two unavoidable names of Brazilian modernism. Between 1923 and 1929, Tarsila do Amaral and Oswald de Andrade formed an iconic pair of Brazilian culture. The couple Tarsiwald - nickname coined by Mário de Andrade - consecrated itself as a symbol both in the field of visual arts and in the field of literature. In book the teacher and researcher Carolina Casarin shows how the two appropriated fashion to make their mark. Unheard of, this rich research reveals how the modernist ideals and contradictions of the movement can be understood from the choice of the clothes of two notable interpreters from Brazil. Through different records of the time - costumes, photographs, paintings, literary works, correspondences, testimonials and receipts - the author introduces us to a vibrant couple who knew how to translate in their appearance the irreverence, elegance and ambiguities of our country.
