Summary:The detailed work seeks to unravel the mysteries of the participation of women in pre-Columbian times. This book is only part of the results of the scientific and multidisciplinary research work carried out in the Huaca Pucllana Research, Conservation and Enhancement Project. The archaeological investigations that have been carried out in the coastal region of Peru today positively support the thesis of a strong presence of other cultures from the highlands of the country in different waves, one of them being the Wari culture. In Huaca Pucllana, in Lima, 24 human burials carried out in the strictest ceremonial protocol have been discovered, corresponding to well-known characters of this imperial society. In this context, the tomb of the Great Priest stands out, who, like his compatriots buried in the Huaca Pucllana, was part of an elite of high- and mid-level officials representing the Wari culture settled in Lima, approximately in the 800s. of our era.
