Summary:Catalog of the photographic archive of Gregorio Hernández de Alba (Bogotá, 1904 - 1973), one of the pioneers of anthropology in Colombia, protector of indigenous culture and promoter of the first archaeological and ethnological investigations. The book is the outcome of the work of more than 14 people who, for about two years, reconstructed the photographic legacy of who is recognized as one of the founding "fathers" of archaeology and anthropology in Colombia. The collection comprises more than 140 restored negatives, of 4000 found, which are part of this historic collection and exhibition, which was born from the will of Juan Pablo Hernández de Alba, grandson of Gregorio.
