"Senault is also known for engraving the entire text and decorations of a noted small-format book of hours in imitation of a calligraphic manuscript. It first was published by Senault himself and the writing master Nicolas Duval as Petit office de la Ste. Vierge, ca. 1680. Later issues came out under the title Heures nouvelles dédiée à Madame la dauphine and Heures nouvelles tirées de la Sainte Ecriture ... Various issues have been identified depending upon whether the folios are numbered and the siren's breasts are covered or not in the head-piece on e3r ..." D.
