Zieber ca. 1847 with a title-page attribution to "Lawrence Lovechild." Mistakenly attributed by Sinclair Hamilton in Early American book illustrators and wood engravers to Lady Ellenor Fenn (1744-1813). McLoughlin Bros. was located at 30 Beekman St., New York, between 1863 and April, 1870. (See obituary for John McLoughlin, Publishers' weekly, May 6, 1905.) "McLoughlin Bros., manufacturers of toy books, games, &c., 24 Beekman Street, New York. ... Electrotyped by Vincent Dill, no. 24 Beekman Street, New York."--p. [4] of wrapper.
