Summary: | Centenary of the artist's birth, the MNAV pays homage to him by displaying the exhibition "Via Crucis - Tola Invernizzi (1918-2001)". The following texts are fragments of analyzes carried out by the researchers Vanina Arregui, Alicia Haber and Jorge Scuro, destined for the exhibition catalogue. Tola, present I remember the day, place and moment that I met Tola, it was in January 1987 [...] I was exposing his work: Via Crucis in the castle of Piria and I wanted to talk to a theologian about his work. Walking the Via Crucis I feel that Tola identifies with the drama and tragedy that are related there. He rediscovers his own life and feels expressed. He is not an external spectator, he is an eyewitness and sufferer of what his brushstrokes are narrating, coming out of a high palette.
