Provenance:	University of Chicago Library's copy is number 102, signed and numbered by the illustrator. Binding: original quarter orange morocco with citron morocco over boards; gold stamped design and lettering on upper board; gold lettering on spine; housed in original green cloth slipcase.
Notes:	Place and date of publication from leaf [6]. Leaves [1]-[2] are blank. "This selection from the Fables which by tradition are attributed to Aesop were included in Murray's 1897 edition"--Leaf [6]. "This edition has been designed and printed at the Curwen Press, London during September 1968 on Zerkall Bütten paper. Bound by Mansell, London, in specially prepared leathers. 250 copies have been produced, numbered 1-250 and signed by the artist. 25 'hors de commerce' copies, marked H/C I-XXV have been printed for those concerned in the production. The four signed original lithographs included with each copy have been editioned at the Curwen Studio. Elisabeth Frink completed the illustrations and lithographs in July 1968"--Leaf [7].
