Synod of Wisconsin (Welsh); also known as the Welsh Synod of Wisconsin; erected as the Synod of Wisconsin in 1844 by Welsh Calvinistic Methodist Church; parent body changed its name to Calvinistic Methodist Church in the U.S.A. in 1869; the synod was transfered to the rolls of the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. as the Synod of Wisconsin (Welsh) in 1920 when the parent bodies merged; absorbed by the Synod of Wisonsin in 1934.
