Notes:Encompassed the area south of the Mason-Dixon line to the Ohio River and south of that river and east of the Mississippi, embracing Indiana and western Ohio and beyond.
Associate Presbyterian Church and Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church merged in 1858 to become United Presbyterian Church of North America; not all members of the APC and ARPC agreed with the merger and there was a split with some churches merging into the new body and others remaining as Associate Presbyterian Church and Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. The General Synod of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church divided into First and Second Synods of the West; dissolved in 1958.
