Synod of Texas; also known as Texas Synod; erected in 1843 in Texas by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church; in 1888 it received by merger the synods of Brazos, Colorado, and Trinity; a portion of the synod was transferred to rolls of the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. in 1906 as Texas "A", which was dissolved in 1907; the remainder of the synod continued in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church; in 1920 it absorbed the CPC Synod of West Texas and New Mexico; in 1988 it was merged into the Synod of Mission. committed to retain from JKM Seminaries Library 2023 JKM University of Chicago Library
