The layout of this score, superimposing Kaija Saariaho's 2019 corrections on her 1980 manuscript, was created by artist Lucia Schmidt according to the composer's instructions.
Premiered by soprano Marjatta Airas and dancer Irene Naert in the stage direction of Pieta Koskenniemi at the Sibelius Academy in 1981.
Premiere of the reconstructed version by soprano Tuuli Lindeberg and actor Thomas Kellner in the stage direction of Aleksi Barrière at Finnish National Opera Helsinki in 2022.
