Summary:Infidelity is the most common reason for couples to seek counseling, and yet the odds of successful treatment are not very good. Why? Many counselors aren't specifically trained - and don't feel very comfortable - treating couples where infidelity is the primary issue. In this video, Dr. Paul Peluso presents a three-step model that is both an explanatory model and a treatment model for infidelity. It has the benefit of being simple to describe, which is often a comfort to couples who are in crisis. And it provides a roadmap for both the couple and the couples counselor for how to guide treatment.
