Summary:The book is a joint publication of the Johannes Larsen Museum and the Faaborg Museum in connection with the double exhibition 'Farvespiel- The Fynbo painters' palette' in the summer of 2023. An art historical pleasure walk that makes the reader more knowledgeable about the Fynbo painters' approaches to the colors in their paintings and why the pictures look the way they do. The Farvespil collaboration is based on extensive studies of the art collections at the main museums for the Fynbo painters, and the book can also serve as a general introduction to the artist group and a number of important images created by Alhed and Johannes Larsen, Anna and Fritz Syberg, Peter Hansen, Jens Birkholm and Christine Swane et al. Many of the exhibited works are reproduced in the book. In addition, you can read about the watercolors as a medium, the wall paintings and the relationship to the two historic museum buildings from a conservator's perspective, as well as about a few contemporary artists' interpretation of the colors of the Fynbo painters. Exhibition: Johannes Larsen Museum, Kerteminde, Denmark (17.06.-24-09.23) / Faaborg Museum, Faaborg, Denmark (18.06.-10.12.23)
Fynbomalernes palet? i sommeren 2023.
