Summary:A report submitted in response to a resolution of the Ohio House of Representatives seeking information about the money needed to progress with work on the Wabash and Erie Canal in the current year, the money necessary to continue work on other works under the charge of the Board of Public Works, the amount due and unpaid to contractors and laborers, the number of officers employed who could be dispensed with, and the damages the state would sustain if they suspended operations on all or any of the public works. The report includes information on projects with Miami Canal, Muskingum, Hocking Canal, Wabash and Erie Canal, Walhonding Canal, Ohio Canal, Miami Canal, Urbana, Troy and Greenville Turnpike, and Western Reserve and Maumee Road. The report is addressed to the General Assembly of the State of Ohio and is signed by William Rayen, Pres't, Office of the Board of Public Works.
