"Ordered, 'That the committee on the colored population obtain and report to this House, a detailed statement from the officers of the Colonization Society of the State, shewing the number of persons and their places of residence anterior to transportation, transported by said society; the number and grade of officers of the society and their respective salaries; the amount of money received from each county, and the number of persons of color sent from each county, and the manner in which the amount of money has been disbursed, beg leave to report that the said order was transmitted to the managers of the State Colonization Fund, and the following communication has been received in answer. ...
