Summary:Report of the Michigan House Committee on State Affairs in response to a claim of the Sault Ste Marie Plank Road Company. The claimants, "constructed a railroad upon, near and across the line and route of the Sault Ste Marie canal, and have since been operating the same." The subsequently constructed Sault Ste Marie canal crossed the road and rendered the road of little value. The committee concludes that the company has grounds for its appeal. The report mentions an accompanying joint resolution, which is not included with the report. The report is signed by F.J. Littlejohn, Chairman.
