Summary:The series examines the strength of each of the world's most deadly units that provided an extra edge when it came to deciding the outcome of the war's most pivotal battles. The troops of the British 7th Armored Division, the Desert Rats, were commanded by Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery. Their war began in the deserts of Egypt and Libya in 1940, and campaigns took them into Tunisia, across the Mediterranean to fight in Italy, at Normandy, and on through Belgium, Holland to Germany.
