Summary:Motala visits a remarkable elephant hospital in Thailand and meets a three-ton patient named Motala. Her front left foot was shattered by a landmine while working at a logging camp near the Thai-Myanmar (Burma) border, an area plagued by guerrilla warfare. In great pain, Motala makes a brave three-day trek to the elephant hospital in Lampang. When Motala finally reaches the hospital, her foot is beyond repair. Can a three-ton elephant live with only three legs?
