Summary:In this issue of Videofashion, we explore some of the top French fashion houses. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts curates a look at the glamorous and theatrical runway spectacles of Paris. Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel sent out one of the season's best received collections - a seemingly effortless array of pretty light dresses and must-have accessories. Valentino proved yet again why he is the master of modern glamour with a collection that made a convincing argument for "yellow as the new red" but still relied on his signature romantic touch to pack a punch. John Galliano surprised the fashion pack with an uncharacteristically sedate Christian Dior collection of suits in a somber palette that will surely have more appeal for his loyal customers. Christian Lacroix works in just a touch of Vegas-panache with his signature Parisian chic - it's pared down, but it's anything but minimalist. La Victoire de Castellane, an exhibition at Le Bon Marche focuses on this unique woman's style - as well as the fabulous jewelry that she has created for the house of Dior.
