Summary:In this program, the physical and chemical properties of freshwater are investigated. The steps in the water cycle are studied, as are the major characteristics of surface water and groundwater. The small amount of freshwater on Earth compared to the abundance of saltwater is stressed. Other terminology includes water cycle, evaporation, condensation, precipitation, valley glacier, continental glacier, standing water, running water, water table, and aquifer.
