Summary: | The Right Honourable Jim Hacker, MP, and Sir Humphrey Appleby return in the second series of Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn's classic political comedy. With the aid of the ever obliging Bernard, the Minister and Sir Humphrey continue to pursue their own agendas at the Ministry for Administrative Affairs. The conflict between politicians and civil servants takes centre stage when the Minister and Sir Humphrey appear before a select committee scrutinizing the functions of the Department of Administrative Affairs.
