Summary:The central theme of Bonhoeffer's "Ethics" is the concept of Christian citizenship in terms of confrontation to Christ. He is concerned about all with the way in which 'Christ takes form' within the society of the Church, and with man's reconciliation to God through the person and the work of Christ. Bonhoeffer's revolutionary theolory is far removed from the purely theoretical, and these uncompleted papers, which were recovered from hiding after his tragic death at the hands of the Nazis in 1945, are based firmly on the real man in the real world.
