| Notes: | The original edition is, apparently, a revision and enlargement of a pamphlet published in London in 1634, entitled "A relation of the successeful beginnings of the Lord Baltemore's plantation in Mary-land." The earlier relation may have been based on a narrative written by Andrew White, the Jesuit father who accompanied the first colonists to Maryland. cf.
