An act of 1873 changed the names of the Eastern and Western Asylums to 1st and 2d Ky. Lunatic Asylums, respectively; the Instn. for the Educ. and Training of Feeble-minded Children was called the 3d Ky. L.A., without any change in character; the House of Reform for Juvenile Delinquents was virtually abolished and its buildings use for the 4th Ky. L.A. The name of this last asylum was changed to Central L.A. by an act of 1874, in which year also the Feeble-minded Instn received again its original name; the Eastern and Western Asylums received approximately their former names in 1876.
