Text is based on the facsimile of the only known manuscript (now in the Henry E. Huntington Library) issued by Bang in 1909. The manuscript according to internal evidence seems to be an early version composed between 1538 and 1540, surviving in a scribal copy of uncertain but probably early date, which was revised and expanded by the author between 1560 and 1563. cf.
