Summary:	Biography of actress De Souza (b. Brazil), considered a pioneer of Brazilian cinema during a time when there were no black actors in Brazil by becoming part of the founding group of actors of the Teatro Experimental do Negro. After her successful performances working for the film companies Atlantida and Vera Cruz, she became Brazil's first black cinema star. The book praises her class, elegance and her permanent fight against racism in the film industry throughout her acting career. Includes her filmography and television and theater participations.
