| Summary: | The 13th bienal marks a return to painting (2004 was dedicated to drawing and large format prints). The work of over 972 artists (2400 pieces of art) were reviewed. The jury selected 29 works as prize winners of the 50 finalists. The catalogue includes the work of the 50 finalists. The three top prizes were given to Marco Arce (1968). Fernando García Correa, and Eric Alejandro Pérez Martínez.
