Summary: | Retrospective exhibition of the best graphic designs produced by printing office AS from it's creation in 1954 to 1997. Founded by Jorge de Arteaga, the printing house included the collaboration the best imaginative and innovating minds in Uruguay in the mid-20th century: Hermenegildo "Menchi" Sábat (all designs for jazz and similar), Ajax Barnes, Carlos Pieri, Nicolás Loureiro, Antonio Pezzino, amongst those that conformed a prestigious team that designed and illustrated posters, theater programs, disc covers, catalogues and books. The printing house was close with the Taller Torres-Garcia, and the strong relationship is evident in their minimalist and sometimes constructive designs.
