Notes:Apparently a revision and enlargement of a pamphlet published in London in 1634, entitled: "A relation of the successefull beginnings of the Lord Baltemore's plantation in Mary-land." The earlier "Relation" was, possibly, based on a narrative written by Andrew White, the Jesuit father, who accompanied the first colonists to Maryland. Cf. Steiner, B. Beginnings of Maryland, p. 8.
